Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink! Is anything more valuable than clean drinking water? It all revolves around water, the most plentiful ingredient in our bodies, the source from which we have sprung, and the source of ever more conflicts in the world. Travel with us through a range of landscapes, at times too dry and at times too wet, and see how men and other living creatures adapt. It is all there for you to witness in SPLASH!: a desert where it hasn’t rained in years, a fun day at the beach and fleeing from a tsunami; the predicament of castaways drifting on a raft at sea, the dance of sea creatures at the bottom of the ocean, the summer storm, and the celebration at the swimming pool. Don’t forget your bathing suit and your umbrella!
'Without a drop of real water on stage, the opening scene of Splash! sweeps us away on a wave of choreographed water-fun...' critic Sander Hiskemuller in Trouw, 30 March 2010.
