Monsterz depicts a world with a high content of monsters. How does one change into a monster? Does anger make you more ugly, or in fact more beautiful? What gigantic secret does the cute little girl next-door keep hidden?
This spectacular performance makes extensive use of the very physical and acrobatic movement language of parkour. The dancers run and jump over obstacles and dive through impossible spaces. Are they running to a place, or away from one?
In this new work choreographer André Gingras goes on an expedition in search of unknown creatures and myths, such as the abominable snowman, Bigfoot, djinns, zombies and giant sewer snakes.
The performance is a roller coaster of movement. Monsterz races through a mysterious universe where everything is possible, and turns the world on its head, on its side and then once more upright.
For audiences of 12 years and older.
